Your apartment is located at the very heart of Barcelona. It is just next to the famous Paseo de Gracia, a beautiful street where impressive buildings stand along the wide avenue. The street is specifically known for the several pieces of work that local Catalan architect Gaudi built here. Walk over to house number 92, where you see the bold forms of the undulating stone facade and wrought iron decoration of the balconies and windows. This is Casa Mila, one of Gaudi’s great works. Have a closer look at the amazing iron gate at the main entrance with the spectacular glass elements in it.
The rest of the old part of the city is also within walking distance, simply because of the central position of the neighbourhood you are staying in named Eixample. The well-known Sagrada Familia is also very close, and a walk to this yet to be finished church is a real treat at itself. You can go through the beautiful streets, where even the tiles you’re walking on are made by Gaudi, but you should also try to lose yourself in the small alleys that cross your path like you’re in Alica in Wonderland. This incredible holiday rental truly shows you a unique side of Barcelona.
