Classic Lluria Apartment Barcelona

You will find the Classic Lluria apartment located in a quiet neighbourhood bordered by the fantastic Diagonal Avenue and Passeig de Gracia in the Exiample district of the city. You have a choice of four different metro stations, all equally around 3 to 5 minutes’ walk away. The area is home to markets, restaurants and bars as well as useful supermarkets for you to purchase any shopping you need.

To the east of the apartment is the beautiful coastline and the golden Barceloneta Beach.  There’s also a lovely long sandy beach on which you will find sunbathers and joggers, windsurfers and cyclists all year round. In summer months beach bars (known locally as chiringuitos) open up and the area becomes extremely busy with both locals and visitors to the city. Take the Metro to Barecloneta stop. You will also find the original old fishermen’s quarter of Barcelona where the old port reaches the beach. Here you will find the best fish restaurants in the city serving up fresh catches of the day.  Barceloneta offers a refreshing solace from the heat and traffic of the city. This is a residential area with a very local feel about it characterised by a charming grid of narrow streets of terraced buildings.

Wander south a bit further to Port Vel marina, home to luxury yachts and Barcelona’s incredible aquarium. This is one of Barcelona’s top visitor attractions with more than 12 million visitors to date already. With a collection of 35 Mediterranean and tropical tanks, 11,000 sea creatures covering 450 species there is a lot to see. The aquarium also features an underwater tunnel measuring 80 metres long. Children will particularly enjoy the many interactive exhibits too. The aquarium also incorporates a cafeteria and gift shop selling all things fishy.  The nearest metro station is Drassanes.
