The area is well serviced by public transport, with metro stations and bus stops just a few minutes’ walk away. The best way to explore this district however is on foot, as there are a whole host of architectural gems adorning the streets, most famously the works of Antoni Gaudi. Casa Batllo, Casa Mila and the unmistakable La Sagrada Familia are all within easy reach.

The Plaza De Catalunya is also just a short walk away, a large square considered to be the city centre and the place where the old city meets 19th century Eixample. This bustling plaza leads onto the notorious La Rambla, a pedestrian boulevard stretching 1.2km bursting with stalls, cafes, street performers and teeming with tourists. A fantastic place to absorb the atmosphere and spend hours people watching, but be warned, La Rambla can be expensive, especially in regard to dining venues. In fact, the restaurants west of Plaza De Catalunya, conveniently closer to your apartment, offer delicious cuisine for a much more reasonable price.
