Aragon 2A Apartment Barcelona |
|
You will find the Aragon 2A apartment in the Exiample district of the city just north of the wonderful Joan Miro Park where you can relax and take a break from this wonderful busy and energetic city. To the east is Port Vel Marina, home to Barcelona Aquarium, an IMAX cinema, restaurant and lots of exciting nightlife.
Just fifteen minutes away is MACBA - the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum. One of the top 10 tourist attractions in the city, this mammoth gallery offers you a chance to see some of the most interesting and internationally important art of the 20th century. Mainly featuring works form 1950 onwards you will find particularly European, Spanish and of course Catalonian artworks housed in this very striking white building designed by architect Richard Meier.
The apartment is just five minutes away form Urgell metro station giving you easy access to the whole city. Why not take a train north to see Gaudi’s incredible giant temple – the Sagrada Familia. It’s been under construction since 1882 and believe it or not they don’t expect to finish it for another 30-80 years. Even though the Sagrada Familia is far from finished, this amazing landmark is well worth a visit. Since this is a fully functioning church with daily services it is recommended to check opening times to avoid disappointment if you wish to explore the inside.
You can also climb the towers. A lift and a very long walk will take you to the top and from there you have a truly magnificent view over Barcelona. The climb is not recommended for those with fear of heights or for people with claustrophobia! As for the uniquely designed building itself, there are those that love it and equally those that hate it!
